Friday Pick ‘Em (October 16th)

It’s back again, the Friday Pick ‘Em is here . Last week we picked 5 of the 6 winners, let’s see if we can make it a perfect week this week. Here’s your Week 2 Friday Pick ‘Em

Pick Record: 5-1
Points: 8

Series (Since 2004): 2-1 Cheraw
Last Meeting (10/24/2015): 77-38 Cheraw

For the second week in a row Cotopaxi will play a team from the A-6 Southeast League, and once again the game will be in Cotopaxi. The Pirates had a close one against Manzanola last week. And it’s a close one again this week. Cheraw 44-40

Series (Since 2004): 3-0 Granada
Last Meeting (8/30/2019): 24-18 Granada

This one is easy, Bobcats win! As we mentioned above, Manzanola had a close one with Cotopaxi last week. But it’s not Cotopaxi this week, instead Manzy opens the league schedule with a solid Granada team. Granada is too much for Manzanola to overcome, Granada 60-14.

Series (Since 2004): 6-2 Simla
Last Meeting (10/18/2019): 28-14 Simla

Almost a year later to the date, these two will meet. A close matchup these last two squared off, and I wouldn’t expect anything less than that tonight. Swink comes out on top 35-30

Series (Since 2004): 6-2 Fowler
Last Meeting (10/11/2019):

Fowler is going to be playing 2 games in a matter of 4 days. This one is in the Ark Valley League, which I feel is Fowler’s to lose. Grizzlies handle Panthers easily 52-6.

Series (Since 2004): 1st Meeting
Last Meeting: N/A

Crowley County’s move to 8-Man began with a 35-0 shutout of Akron. We’ll see how they can handle a league foe like McClave. Chargers are ranked #8 in A-8, they win by 8. Crowley 28-20

Series (Since 2004): 2-0 Florence
Last Meeting (8/30/2019): 40-6 Florence

Rocky Ford had a tough time with #4 Centauri last week, once again they play the #4 team in Florence. The Florence run game is going to be the key here. Huskies run away here 21-7.

Series (Since 2004): First Meeting
Last Meeting: N/A

COVID-19 has once again played apart of schedules for Colorado. Originally La Junta was set to host Manitou Springs, instead they welcome in Pueblo County. These two teams have met for preseason scrimmages the past few years. La Junta gets the first regular season matchup, 35-7.
